Black Carousel Collective publishes concert photography and live music writing. These standards guide how we review, credit, and present that work.
Original work and clear credits
Writing and photography carry separate credits so readers can identify the people behind the work. Contributors retain ownership of their original work. Publication permission, edits, and credit details are agreed before work appears here. We credit outside sources and distinguish a contributor’s observations from information supplied by an artist, venue, or publicist.
Accuracy and corrections
We check artist names, show dates, venues, and other factual details before publication. If you notice an error, email editor@blackcarouselcollective.com with the page link and the information that needs review. We correct confirmed errors and note substantive corrections on the affected story.
Editorial independence
Press access does not purchase or guarantee favorable coverage. Contributors bring their own perspectives, and our editor reviews the work before publication. Sponsored content and paid partnerships will be clearly labeled. Relevant relationships or support that could affect how readers understand a feature will be disclosed.
Respect for artists and audiences
Contributors are expected to respect venue rules, artist restrictions, and the conditions attached to approved access. Photography and writing are published for editorial coverage. Any other use requires the appropriate permission from the rights holder.
From the Crowd
Fan submissions are reviewed before publication. We publish submitted stories and photographs only with permission and an agreed credit. Contact email addresses are not published. See our Privacy Policy for more about submissions and personal information.
Audience information
Audience figures shared with partners identify the account or website, the measurement period, and the source. Black Carousel Collective’s readership is reported separately from contributors’ personal audiences.
