Live music only happens once. Every photographer and writer brings a different perspective to the room.
Black Carousel Collective brings those perspectives together. If you photograph concerts or write about live music and would like to contribute, we’d like to hear from you.
Introduce yourself
Tell us where you’re based, the music you’re drawn to, and what you’d like to bring to the collective. Include a link to your portfolio, published work, or a few examples of your photography or writing.
Apply below or email editor@blackcarouselcollective.com.
What you can contribute
Concert photo galleries, show reviews, interviews, and stories about the people and experiences behind live music. We welcome different artists, genres, and perspectives. Send work you created, and tell us about any permissions or restrictions that affect it.
What to send
Share where you’re based, whether you’re interested in photography, writing, or both, and links to a small selection of your strongest work. For a show proposal, include the artist, venue, city, show date, and what you’d like to cover. Portfolio and gallery links are welcome; there’s no need to email a large folder of files with your first message.
Credits and review
Published photography and writing will carry your agreed credit, with a contributor profile and a link to your work. You retain ownership of what you create. Any permission to publish, edits, and credit details will be agreed with you before publication.
Our editor reviews applications and proposals. If there’s a fit, we’ll contact you by email to discuss the work and next steps. Submitting an application doesn’t automatically publish your work or guarantee a press pass.
