Jonathan J. Hall
Founder, Editor & Photographer
Jonathan J. Hall is a North Carolina based concert photographer and the founder of Black Carousel Collective. After twenty years in the Army, where he served first as a medic and later as a physician assistant, retirement opened the door to a different kind of work. A lifelong love of live music became a creative pursuit, giving him a renewed sense of purpose behind the camera.
Known through his photography account, @thefallofadam_mm, Jonathan brings a dark editorial perspective to the stage, capturing the atmosphere, intensity, and connection that make live performances unforgettable. His portfolio includes The Pretty Reckless, Black Label Society, Zakk Sabbath, Highly Suspect, and Dead Poet Society, with Marilyn Manson’s performances holding a particularly personal place in his work.
Jonathan continues to work full time as a physician assistant caring for veterans and is the father of three boys. Photography has become an important part of this next chapter, alongside the people and responsibilities that have always grounded him.
He created Black Carousel Collective to give concert photographers from across the country a shared home for their work, bringing together individual perspectives through a common love of music.
